2006 Manchester United Premier Cup

The Vardarstars Soccer Club will be attending the US Finals of the 2006 Manchester United Premier Cup. The U14 girls will be representing the Vardarstars on the girls side while a combined team selected from four different Vardarstars boys teams will represent the club on the boys side. This prestigious event will be held May 25-29 at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.  Twenty teams from across the country will be competing for an all expense paid trip to Europe sponsored by Nike. The boys are competing for a place in the Manchester United Premier Cup World Finals which will be held in Manchester England and brings together the winners of Manchester United Premier Cups from across the globe.  The girls will be competing for a place in the prestigious Gothia Cup held in Sweden.

Participating in the event are elite clubs from across the country. The boys will compete against a field including  Arsenal, Barcelona, Bethesda FC, Colorado Rush, Concorde Fire Elite, Crossfire Premier, Dallas Texans, FC Delco, FC Greater Boston, Irvine Strikers, Nomads, Ohio FC, PDA, San Diego Surf, Scott Gallagher, So Cal United, and the Sockers. The Vardarstar girls will compete against the Eclipse, Dallas Texans, Irvine Strikers, So Cal United, PDA Fire, Danville Mustangs, Real Colorado, Slammers FC, So Cal Blues, FC Delco, Colorado Rush, Crossfire Premier, Sereno SC, San Diego Surf, Lonestar, Sparta United, and the Tabagators. The Lake Oswego Soccer Club will act as the host of the event.
